According to the source, the pic is from someone who “tried to help Cory with his addiction when he was 16 yrs old! He took him fishing and that is what they caught!”

My interview with Cory lasted only a few minutes, but my impression of him will last a lifetime. There was a true genuineness about him—a quality that I don’t see in a lot of actors.

In some ways it was like Cory didn’t look at himself like the TV star that he was—he was a regular guy who just wanted to love and live life. That’s part of what makes his passing so heartbreaking.

As I mentioned before, he thanked me for our interview, shook my hand while asking for my name again, really appreciating our talk on that inspirational June night. I said to friends the following day, “I’m rarely so impressed by someone.”

He was a thoughtful, intelligent guy. He was not Finn Hudson. This was not just them pointing a camera at the good-looking dumb guy. He put a lot of thought into what this all meant, and what the show was.
